Imagining Europe Otherwise Conference: Building Trust, Hope and Perspectives through Culture 

Convidamos a juntar-se à Conferência Internacional Imagining Europe Otherwise, nos dias 14 e 15 de novembro, organizada no âmbito do projeto europeu SIRIUS4all, com o apoio do programa Europa Criativa. A língua de trabalho é o Inglês. 

Num momento em que se torna urgente imaginar outros futuros para a Europa, esta conferência é uma oportunidade para ouvir vozes inspiradoras, partilhar perspetivas diversas e debater os grandes desafios culturais e democráticos do nosso tempo.

Ao longo de um dia e meio de trabalho, escuta e experimentação coletiva, o encontro reunirá artistas, investigadoras e investigadores, mediadoras e mediadores, programadores, curadoras e curadores, ativistas e responsáveis por políticas públicas de vários países europeus. O formato convida à reflexão ativa, à cocriação e à imaginação política, através de micro-debates, experiências no espaço público e momentos criativos de encontro.

A partir de três eixos — Confiança, Esperança e Perspetivas — propõe-se explorar de que forma a cultura pode contribuir para uma Europa mais habitável, justa e plural.

Imagining Europe Otherwise Conference: Building Trust, Hope and Perspectives through Culture

We invite you to join the Imagining Europe Otherwise Conference on 14 and 15 November, organised as part of the European SIRIUS4all project, with the support of the Creative Europe programme. The working language is English.

At a time when it is urgent to imagine other futures for Europe, this conference is an opportunity to hear inspiring voices, share diverse perspectives and discuss the great cultural and democratic challenges of our time.

Over a day and a half of work, listening and collective experimentation, the meeting will bring together artists, researchers, mediators, programmers, curators, activists and public policy makers from various European countries. The format invites active reflection, co-creation and political imagination through micro-debates, experiences in public spaces and creative moments of encounter.

Based on three axes — Trust, Hope and Perspectives — it proposes to explore how culture can contribute to a more liveable, fair and plural Europe.
